Here is the christmas clipboard countdown I made a early lol..

I used my leftover scrapbooking paper. The hardest part of this whole thing was that dang tree! It was hard making the scraps into a tree lol... The numbers and their holders were cut from my Cricut cartridge George basic shapes. I tried the magnet thing for the backs, but didnt have any spare washers so I glued strips of magnets on the back and then glued paperclips on the board itself..well that didnt work lol...so I used big brads and used metallic glue and glued the brads on the boards and bend the ends up, so now I can hang the numbers on each one..

I am planning on making TONS of these!!!!

Oh, I got my clipboards at the Dollar tree..this is a mini one.

Matchbox advent tree..dont have the numbers added or the other embellishments yet, but wanted to give you all an idea.

Below is the christmas card recipe box. I wanted something to organize my cards and swaps that im going to do. I just cut
die cuts of christmas things from my Cricut Cartridge Christmas Cheer. For the "recipe" cards I just inked the outside of all the cards in coresponding christmas colors. I think it turned out really cute!

Today I was actually pretty productive. I made a christmas card swap thingy. Like a recipe file. Each index card has a name and address on it. Ive filled them in different catagories....Like family & friends, Magical holiday home card swap and My merry christmas card swap. It turned out really cute. Ill take some pics and try to post them. I also did a matchbox advent tree. I need to use large matchboxes,I used small so the countdown tree is super small. I also watched Snowglobe while drinking hot chocolate. All in all, it was a great Rudy day! 6 more months!!!

Rudolph day is tomorrow!

Tomorrow im planning on making my list for my Christmas in July party. Its just going to be me and my bestest 3 girlfriends. I was going to do a dough swap, but I havent had a chance to find a good cookie recipe that will freeze well, so I think ill just do a brunch. I'll probably just make up some cookies and some other yummy things and we will sit around a chat!

Im also going to try to start on my cards. I keep saying that Ill do them, but I start doing other things instead lol.. Im doing a few christmas card exchanges, so I better get on the ball!! Im going to be gone for a week and a half in July, so thats cutting in on my Christmas in July festivities!!

Well thats it for now! Ill post Thursday on what I actually did!

Santa Clause 3

I just LOVE this movie..my kids and I just got done watching it! Now I think im going to make some hot chocolate and pull out my christmas recipe binder and think of ideas of what im going to do to it.

I started copying my christmas recipes onto my cute new Gooseberry Patch recipe cards that came with my kit. They look SO cute now!

I also started to plan my Christmas in July party. Its going to be a Dough swap....that way, no one is baking in the 100' weather and also, this way, we can have cookies anytime we want! Now, I just need to figure out what kind of cookie Ill make. I make my annual Andie candie cookie (everyones fav) at my December cookie/ornament swap, so I want to find something just as wonderful, but different for my July swap!

Well,I was so excited to have my Rudy day today....but...other things got in the way...like playing on Pogo.com ALL DAY with my mom!!! I admit it..we are addicted!! I just had a Rudy day a few weeks ago so im not too terribly upset.

I hope everyone had a great day and got what they were supposed to do done ....Im going to have Rudy day tomorrow!

a Surprise Rudy day!

So today, I had a surprise rudy day!! I had the christmas bug in me! I started going through my notebook...again and cleaning it out! I found so many little things that didnt work for me last year, so this year im making it strictly for me. I normally print off everything in the countdown and only end up doing 3/4 of it because certain things dont pertain to me. Im sick of wasting paper!!! So hopefully this will be the most organized christmas ever!

Well for most of the day, I played with this little blog thing. That took a while and was fun setting up! Then I had to go to work at the school for a few hours, but I wished everyone happy rudolph day and told them how many days until christmas LOL.. the other teachers looked at me funny and probably think im crazy , but I dont care!!! Then I came home and started weeding through my notebook and went through my christmas card list, weeded out a few people that we never hear from anymore.

So thats all that happened, Oh, I did watch Elf...twice because I love it so much!

So check back often, as I think of more things that I need to accomplish, Ill add those also.

This is my very first official Rudolph day in 2008. Im excited to get started!!

Today I will:

*Watch Elf (watching now!)

*Go through christmas notebook and weed through the old stuff to make room for the new. Print out new forms for this year.

*Go through recipes for my christmas cookbookin deluxe scrapbooking kit I just got.

I have to work today for a few hours, which sucks, but you gotta do what you gotta do!

I woke the kids up this morning yelling " HAPPY RUDOLPH DAY" and they thought I was crazy. I told them there was only 244 days of christmas and they just rolled their eyes at me. LOL. They are not morning people! Ill tell them again when they get home from school...They will be excited then!

So im new at this blogging thing, so im going to try my best to post freqently.
